I passed the PA real estate exam. Now what?

By Bill Kelly, Philadelphia Real Estate Coach and Director of Productivity Coaching at Keller Williams · Updated October 28, 2026

Short answer

After you pass the Pennsylvania real estate exam, pick a brokerage to hold your license, submit your license application, and start building your database the same week. Your passing scores are good for 3 years, but every week you wait is a week you're not having conversations.

Your first 2 weeks after passing

  • Choose your brokerage. Ask who will coach you and how often
  • Submit your license application through your broker
  • Load at least 200 contacts into your CRM
  • Call your sphere and tell them you're licensed
  • Book your first open house

How to pick where to hang your license

Don't pick on split alone. Pick on who will still be working with you in month 3. I wrote a full breakdown here: kwprocoaching.com/answers/how-to-pick-a-real-estate-brokerage.
